This Privacy Policy explains how Flight Radar Tracker (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our mobile applications and website (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1) Information We Collect

A. You provide to us

  • Account data: email, display name; authentication via Email/Password, Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple (handled by Firebase).
  • Profile choices: units (km/mi), theme, map styles, alert preferences.
  • Content you add: saved flights, alerts you create, feedback/support messages.

B. Collected automatically

  • Device data (model, OS, language, app version), performance and crash logs (Firebase Crashlytics).
  • Usage events for product analytics (Firebase/Google Analytics).
  • Approximate location (when enabled) to center the radar and show nearby airports.
  • Push notification tokens (for FCM/APNs).

C. From third parties

  • Store purchase status (Apple App Store / Google Play) for subscriptions and entitlement checks.

2) How We Use Information

  • Provide core features: live map, flight details, airport boards, and alerting.
  • Sync settings across devices when signed in.
  • Process subscriptions and entitlement checks through Apple/Google.
  • Send transactional and alert notifications you enable.
  • Improve reliability, detect crashes, and analyze feature adoption.
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms.

3) Location & Real-Time Data

Location access is optional and used to personalize the map and nearby results. You can disable it at any time in the app or system settings. We store minimal location context in our database for your convenience (e.g., last viewed area) and do not sell or share precise location with third-party data brokers.

4) Advertising & Analytics

Ads: We use Google AdMob (no mediation) to display ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers and approximate location to deliver and measure ads according to its policies.

Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics to understand engagement and improve product quality. You may opt-out of analytics in your device settings where supported.

Crash reporting is handled by Firebase Crashlytics.

5) Storage, Retention & Security

  • Data is stored in Google Firebase (authentication, Firestore/Storage) and our secure servers.
  • We retain data while your account is active or as needed for legitimate business or legal reasons; stale data is periodically minimized or deleted.
  • Transmission uses TLS; passwords are hashed; access is role-restricted and logged. No security method is perfect, but we apply industry best practices.

6) When We Share Data

  • Service providers (e.g., Firebase, Google, Apple) under data-processing terms, only to operate the Service.
  • Legal, safety, and fraud prevention where required by law or to protect rights, property, or users.
  • Business transfers (merger, acquisition) with notice and continued protection of your data.

We do not sell your personal information.

7) Payments & Subscriptions

All purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not store full payment details. We keep limited records such as product ID, region, receipt status, and renewal state for entitlement.

8) Notifications

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android) and Apple Push Notification service (iOS) to send alerts you configure (e.g., departure/arrival). You can disable notifications in system settings or inside the app.

9) Children

The Service is not intended for individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect children’s data. If we learn that a child has provided personal data, we will delete it.

10) Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or export your data.

  • We may need to verify your identity. We respond within applicable legal timeframes.
  • You can also manage much of your data in the app (edit profile, delete account, manage alerts).

GDPR/EEA: lawful bases include contract, legitimate interests, consent (where used), and legal obligations.

CCPA/CPRA: we do not “sell” personal information. You may request access, deletion, or correction as above.

11) International Transfers

We operate globally. Your data may be processed in countries with different laws. We use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) where required.

12) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on this page. Your continued use means you accept the changes.
